i wouldn't recommend doing it in the cold, i did that with my maxximaand it left alot of glue on my trunk.. ihav my fairlady emblem and im waiting for the summer to put it on, as well as my Z badges..
When you do eventually do it i would say to use some weedwacker line, that stuff works good and it won't tear like fishing line or flose..

Go look at your front emblem. It is set into the bumper. If you were to remove it you would have to have the entire area filled and have the entire bumper repainted.
Also, there will be two holes under the rear nissan badge so unless you have a badge to put over it, those would have to be filled requiering the entire hatch to be painted...

I believe you can get front and rear Z emblems that fit into the factory front and rear spaces. I haven't looked, but try Courtesy Parts or Performance Nissan's websites. They tend to carry things like that.
i did mine in the cold and worked fine...
work from bottom up with a fishing like and go back and forth and youll start melting the glue off cause of friction, and it dont do damage to paint. then once 1/4 way up get something reallllllllllll flat (i used some kind of gardening tool look like a shovel of some sort).... put towel on your bumper, and squeeze the flat object with the towel protecting the bumper and the emblem. it might feel like your hurting the bumper but it wont cause of the towel. man it be whole lot easier if i can show u.
