I found an '07 Z being parted out and I own an '03. I already put an offer in on the LED taillights, but my steering wheel is pretty beat up and the leather is cracked/peeling. I wanted to buy the steering wheel (very reasonable price), but wasn't sure if it would be compatible with my Z. The '07 steering wheel apparently has audio and Bluetooth controls. Would I be able to gain those functions if I did something as easy as buying a harness? Or is the '07 -> '03 swap more hassle than reward?

Disclaimer: before someone rips me a new one or sends me a "lmgtfy" link, I did my best to search existing threads. I found a whole bunch on steering wheels, but nothing addressing this issue. Thanks in advance for not dismantling my self-esteem.

 

An '07 steering wheel will fit on your '03, but the Bluetooth and audio controls will not function.

 

I didn't know bluetooth controls exist on 2007 models.

Your cruise control and audio controls should work. Harness should be the same.

I even put a 370z steering wheel in my 350z and my audio controls and cruise work . The harness was the same but I had to change up the pins on the harness.

 

So can the radio controls of a later model 350z steering wheel work on an 05 350z?
