Default Thinking about selling the Z!!

So, lately i've been thinking of selling my 2004 Z. It's slammed, daily driven to and from school down here in Louisiana(badroads).

Well anyways, i was thinking about selling it to buy a decent daily.
Probably around a 2003 honda civic(be around 100k-150k miles) to drive around town, work, and school.

And buy an s13 coupe to drift/project!

Also doing this i could pay off my loan for the car, and be note free. Also, my car only has liability insurance; i'm pretty nervous driving around praying somebody doesnt hit me!

I'm just wanting to get you all's opinion on this idea, and how you think it would workout, thanks!!

How much do you owe on the Z?

Nothing is better then having no car payment in my opinion. It depends on how many miles are on your car to determine it's value. Mods do not add $$. I personally would only buy a 350z that was 100% stock.

I personally see no point in having a project car as that would just need $$ to be dumped into it. Especially a drift car things will break left and right.

Agreed- it depends on how much you owe on the Z. Flippin' cars always costs money...

Well, only thing i have done on it is suspension and wheels.

Dont owe too much, and all i plan on doing after i pay it off is drift it.
I want an s13 because parts for it are HALF price and lower

Sell it, struggling to keep a car isn't worth it.

Swear, that's what i'm saying. But you think a honda with around 150k on the clock would be a decent daily? it'd be getting driven around about 50miles/day. According to my asian co-workers, they are unbreakable lol.

people want me to slide my z, but personally; i would MUCH rather have "decent" daily, and a "decent" s13 weekend/track car than to drive around a daily/drift car which could break at any event then leave me stranded.

Plus no note sounds damn good!

Get the civic and s13. They are more fit for your desires and are more financially convenient. A drift car should never be a daily. I wouldn't worry about the mileage on hondas they are solid. Also you will have more fun not worrying so much about your car with the s13.

If you're struggling to keep the z i don't see how having two cars one of which being a project and drift car would help.

If you buy a car with that many miles something will be wrong it's a Honda sure but still a car that needs maintenance. Parts for the z are pricey and always will be.

And more so now is the wrong time to sell a z.

I'm not struggling in anyway to keep or maintain the z. i just want a project car that doesnt cost an arm and a leg to upgrade. and Also have a different car to daily other than a track car.

Just tired of dailying a stanced car. and wouldnt mind something easier to drive around and better on mpg.

and i doubt a civic with 150k will be much harder to maintain a 350z with 88k

If you do end up selling the Z, definitely look for a set of stock wheels and suspension to swap on there first. It'll be worth it.

I'd get a Toyota Camry over a Honda Shitvic of comparable year/mileage...

At least if you have a Camry it's an obvious dd and people in Shitvics won't acknowledge you as one of them.

Just my .02.

I was also debating a camry.
I mean. Doesnt really matter what it is aslong as it's the typical reliable daily.

Definitely not looking at buying a civic with 4" fart can and decals lol

For a reliable and more stylish ride, I'd be looking at a Sentra with an SE or SL package.

Truely. I'd be looking at a $4k-$5k budget on a 'decent' daily

Edit: went look on CL at some Sentra's. pretty nice deals for around $4500
