Recently my automatic shift **** broke on my 2004 Roadster, so I ordered a new one. The part number was 34910 and $200 and a week later, I got it today. I was excited to put it on and finally get it fixed, but the engage button doesn't click, so I no longer have to click the button to go from park to drive. Some may like this, but I don't feel like doing a half-assed job. I was wondering if anyone else has came across this problem and if so what's a solution? Thanks!
I see the illustration of the shifter, and it looks like i need to put "multi purpose grease" on it. Would this be the cause of it? I can take it off and try again; though it doesn't seem like this would be the root cause of it not working.
