Question about window tinting - is this normal?

Got my windows tinted yesterday - 3M Colorstable. On the rear window there is about a 3mm clear border along the gradient on the window. The tint piece is large enough to cover it however it has not set into the voids between the gradient. Will this go away, is this normal, or do they need to fix it?

If you are talking about the part where you can see the black spots, then yes that is normal and no it will most likely not go away
edit: if I'm correct, i do not believe there is a way to fix that. If you feel the inside of the windshield those dots are raised, which makes it impossible to get the tint in between each dot. If you press your finger against the inside the dots will probably go away but within a few minutes they will show back up because the tint will go back to its resting place rather than sticking between each spot.

The dot matrix is a pita and tinters nightmare. Once and I while you can get tint to stick down well over it. There is a sanding trick that helps, but I would expect to pay a bit more ANC results are not guaranteed.
