Default Factory Car Alarm/Security Will not work after battery replacement

Hey there my battery recently died so I had to get it replaced on my 05 350z. Once replaced, it seems the OEM Fobkey will not work anymore. I thought it was the battery so I got another replacement and when I tried to program it, the procedure didn't work. I got another FOBKey replacement and tried to program it.

I tried the inserting key 6-10 times method but my Hazard lights NEVER blink. I think something short circuited. Anyone know what could've caused my factory system to stop working?

What can I check to troubleshoot this? Thanks!

Does the key fob still lock and unlock the vehicle? Or you're not hearing the beep from the alarm?

It doesn't do anything. I purchased a new fobkey and I can't program the new key because when I insert my key into the ignition in and out 6-10 times, the hazard lights never come on.

It's possible your fob just lost its programming. I've not heard of that self programming key fob procedure you described but if that also is not working you may need to get it reprogrammed by the dealership. lol.. I know we charge $125.00 for that though. Some lock smiths have the capability to program that stuff. You may wanna call around.
