I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this thread, however i purchased a set of used ART pipes from a member of this forum 2 months ago and I never recieved them. He did not provide a tracking number. I have never purchased anything without a tracking number, which raises red flags. He claims that he has a good reputaion on this forum and has a decent trader rating. He claims It was sent via USPS standard shipping.

DO NOT do business with this person. He also failed to acknowledge he was at fault by not providing a tracking number. This is so incredibly frustrating. I understand there is nothing i can do at this point. 400$ down the tube.

 

That sucks. $400 lesson to do a little research on someone besides just taking their word. He has a 0 trader score.

 

Yup... I've never had issues the past 5 years purchasing tons of parts from forums so I took it for granted.

Yes we are both in CA. Unfortunately I did not ask the seller where he was located. And turns out he was only a friggin hour away... He knew where I was located though becuase of the shipping address i provided. I kick myself everyday for not asking.
Money was sent as gift via paypal. I was under the impression that a gift is reversible but turns out it is not. I have sent paypal payments as gifts 98% of the time with 0 issues. I never would have sent it via gift had i known this. Clearly my fault here, I should not have sent it as a gift otherwise I'd have my money back.

Also, I thought you could take your card to USPS / UPS / FEDEX and they can print old tracking info from that, maybe that's not true?

Also, is it too late to file a dispute on paypal or did you mark as a gift?

I just re-read that post, sorry. Sorry OP, I do recommend always paying the PayPal fee, even when people say just mark as gift I just add the Paypal fee into the price and do that for situations like this.

Maybe, something miraculous will happen though.

I get an error message when trying to view someone's itrader, so it's pretty worthless anyway. IB screws up everything.

Wow unbelievable. I have gone through extreme lengths with contacting and disputing with USPS to find your package. I have sold many items on the forums and never had any problems. By the way I never claimed I had an iTrader score.

The way you're posting this is as if I straight up scammed you without any effort to help you. I've spent hours upon hours.
If you're going to share the whole situation to everyone at least give out the truth!

By the way to continue to clarify things I never told you to pay as a gift. Don't give anyone the idea that I tried to scheme you paying as a gift. I asked for the PayPal fee to be covered and you chose paying as a gift to avoid that.

Also every time I didn't respond to his PM's instantly he accused me of attempting to scam him. I don't come on here everyday. I have a busy life that's been even more busy the past month or so. Even with that I put time aside to go fight with shitty USPS multiple times.
Hell sometimes I thought you were playing me all along and just trying to get your money back and keep the Art pipes!
