raceboy: Any status from dealer/NNA on your driveshaft shield rattling?

I recalled you mentioned that your dealer & NNA will work on your car yesterday (Monday). Any status? I am anxious to hear if they find the fix for it.

The sounds has gone away on it's own. It is still going into Nissan on Tues the 24th for the engineers to look at. I'll keep you posted.

Correction: It's still making the noise, just heard it!! Damn! Hope nothing falls out at the track on Friday!! LOL

Thanks for the update. I experienced the same thing, the background noise is now less frequent than before, however, upshift to 3rd or 4th continue to make noise occasionally, but slightly less frequent.

I swear I didn't have these rattles before..

I felt a little bit racey tonight (750+ miles) and did a 4K rpm power shift. Damn if I didn't immediately hear what sounded like the heat shield rattle (more like a vibration) and the visor vibration! I thought I was just lucky when I hadn't heard either up until now. Maybe it shook them loose?

Now I wonder if there aren't two kinds of 350Z's--those that have the rattles and those that haven't been driven hard yet.
