Maintenance Tips 2008 350z
I recently bought a 350z,I'm a young guy and it's my first car that I ever own and I want to take care of it. It has over 200k miles but it drives smooth. Does anyone have any tips ? Will I need to replace the engine any time soon? Oil changes ?
Welcome, the sticky threads in Maintenance and repair would be a good place to start. The VQ was designed for 200K Mi not to say it can't last longer if well maintained but don't expect much more life out of it. Unless the body and interior of the car is in great shape it probably isn't worth replacing the engine when it dies unless you really want a learning experience and can do it yourself.

Jesus! 200k miles.
I would def check if not change the oil, brake pads, belts, timing chain/belt, and if you really care about it and wanna get dirty get under and check all of the bushings and mounts.

I wouldn't spend over 1 grand for any car with over 200k miles.
Honestly with that many miles and not knowing about the maintenance history, I would do a full tune-up. Change all the fluids, spark plugs, belts, and then check everything else. Check the brakes, the suspension, bushings. Replace anything that needs to be changed, and then just save some money for when the next thing to break.
These cars are great and very reliable, but at that age stuff breaks on all cars. Just make sure you have the cash to fix it.

this is from his other post....
I've got 153,000 on my '03 and other than burning a little oil, it has had almost no issues since Day 1. Since you don't seem to know the history, change all fluids and spark plugs. Have a trusted mechanic look at suspension parts including all bushings. Other than that keep your wallet handy - at 200k things are going to need replaced sooner rather than later.
