7k for a 350 with 200k miles? He probably paid closer to 8k with tax and dealer fee and what not...

Shouldve spent an extra 15 min and look for one with about 100k miles less for that price...

Its a first car, they are not supposed to be nice... My first car got beaten on so much the mileage was a non issue... Just enjoy it and try not to wrap it around a tree...

If it was maintained properly and not beaten, I don't see why it shouldn't last more than 200k. Seems like it's highway miles too. If the engine is running smooth, no leaks, it could last another 100k.

 

With interest he probably paid like 12k For the whole deal...Lol. People in this forum are relentless.

 

Change out all the fluids, spark plugs, etc. Check for rust in the undercarriage. Start saving for a new engine and tranny. If not, start thinking about the next car you'll get when this Z gets to the end of its life relatively soon.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if it was already on another engine. If that's the case, OP is fine.
