Ditch the CF hood idea. Here's the REAL weight savings!

First of all, momo steering wheel is rce and dangerous.

Secondly, driving school+light weight wheel+ grippy tire is way more swag than anything else

Thirdly, carbon fiber hood is going to yellow and be nasty as hell.

I was held captive in Bahrain for 20 hours once in 2005, my junk box airplane I was on broke down and landed their and they wouldn't let me leave the airport terminal till the plane got fixed and took me away. Messed up...

Anyways I would get a sweet new hood fo-sho

CF hoods don't even lighten the car due to our already light aluminum hoods.

Some cheap ones actually add weight lol

I'd say wheel and seats given the options. But I personally would spend that $$ in upgrading a lot of other things first before buying what your after.

Most dont care about the weight they want the swag.

Personally for me, and a few other members, we bought ours for the vents to extracts the heat from the bay. Personally i love mine and wouldn't think twice about buying it.

Yea I'm sure^^

But I can't count how many people have told me to buy CF stuff to cut weight or say that's a benefit to justify needing to go CF lol

9/10 times wet carbon weights more. Its dry carbon that saves weight and thats only if you replace the big pieces. Trunk, doors, roof, and such. Most of the carbon are for swag.

Now adays, most of the weight is the fram, the body panel are aluminum and bumper covers are plastic, not much weight to save. Other than the hatch and 2 doors, thats 2000+ for around 75lbs of saving. For 2k i would just add power haha

But the cf hoods hold up sooo good... Mine is 2lbs lighter than stock... Then the pins bring it to about 1 lb of awesome savings.

Yea I'm debating on pulling the soft top, spare and a bunch of other 1,000lb bits out of mine. I already ditched the 100 lb stock exhaust lol

I'm leaving the speakers and daily used comforts. But the rest of the random bits I'm thinking of ditching. Like you said that's free and will make more of a difference than 2lb and $2g's later

Need room for that turbo kit when it comes in

And all the weight you just lighten becomes negated by the turbo piping and crap haha. Im the same way, took the spare out for weight reduction, adds a z encloser and 2 10inch subs haha
