Default Airbag light...2003 350Z

Hello,

I have a flashing airbag light in my 350Z. I reset the light using the procedures on the forum and youtube. The light goes away for a couple of days but it comes back. I have tried disconnecting the battery, and reconnecting all of the connectors under the seat and also looked for any trash or objects under the seat. The light still comes back on. Is the next logical step to take it to the dealer? I really want to avoid this since the car is supercharged and I don't want the techs to joy ride it, but it may be the only option. Will the dealer cover any repairs to the airbags or seatbelts under warranty?

The first logical step would have been to search this site for your answer on how to reset the light.

Next time, search first - these cars have been around for 13 years, so it's all been documented.

Simply resetting the light without knowing why it came on in the first place is a fool's errand. Diagnose, then reset.

Sometimes. The light on my '08 came on a few years ago and I reset it. Next time the car was at the dealer for a warranty window motor replacement, I had the tech run the diagnostics on the airbag system, and it checked out OK. The light has not come on since.

My airbag light also came on at the weekend, did the key switch trick and the light went out. Also had no code after running diagnostics.
