HI, My 350z was recently boosted car was running okay had an oil leak coming from my valve cover so i replaced the gasket i reinstalled everything and used silicone to seal the manifolds i also have a spacer it seemed to be warped but i installed it anyway is my issue the warped spacer>? or something else idle is rough and is about 12 afr i have been looking for days i can not find whats going on!

Have you tried holding a small piece of tissue paper around the plenum and the other hoses whilst someone revs the car. If it moves then that's the likely place of your leak. Some people have caught the plenum spacer on the rubber by the oil intake thus causing a leak & rough running.

If the spacer is warped the silicon is not going the seal. Permatex also makes a 1minutes gasket specifically to F/I engines (it's gray and like $20 for a small can)

Do you have one of those piece of crap plastic spacers? Ditch it if you do... Also did you let the RTV cure overnight before running it?

You should get OEM metal gaskets for the plenum. It saves a lot of time, too. If you must use RTV, I am all for permatex ultra gray. It is the OEM gray stuff and it has never let me down with proper cleaning before application.



Also there are smoke testers for less than 100 on ebay, paint can style that use unscented baby oil. Get some lantern wicks when the cotton burns up, get some CRC MAF sensor cleaner to use after testing.

It is a notched metal one don't know brand it idles bad like before but after heating up it idles normal and I didn't change anything could this be anything to do with the brake booster since I removed it
