Question I need help:)

Hey guys, I am completely new to forums, I've been reading a lot about everything on forums but I've never posted anything. The time has come. I need help! Not too long ago I purchased a 2008 350z base. The previous owner put some good mods on a car, including Evo2 Greddy exhaust! I liked it a lot! And I had no complaints, but I just really wanted to do something new to the car, like something that I can add to the car. Anyways, I decided on the test pipes. I did not do any research at all as just got the Z1 test pipes for the HR engine. I was so excited! Installed them at the shop...and.... My car is SO LOUD! Also, if I'm in second gear and I press the gas, my car takes a second or two until I feel as it starts to "kick in". So the car is not as responsive as it used to be with stock cats. My main concern is how loud the car is. I did read forums later, after my install, and I figured that I should have gotten resonated test pipes. So, now is my question: "I've heard a lot of good things about ART test pipes, but will they help in my situation to reduce the noise of z1 test pipes, if replaced, with the Evo2 Greddy true dual exhaust? I've read that for some people ART test pipes make the car louder." Thank you so much in advance who could give me any suggestions! Sorry if the question was answered before, but I can't find anything on the similar setup. So if anyone is running Evo2 Greddy true dual exhaust with ART test pipes I would really appreciate any kinds of sound test Thank you! Have a great day!

Welcome and too bad you didn't post a question earlier on test pipes and how loud they are. If the increased volume isn't for you, then maybe test pipes (resonated or not) aren't for you! You claim you had no complaints, but "wanted to do something new to the car". Beyond the noise, you'll need a tune to maximize any increased exhaust scavenging. So in essence, you screwed up your Z and will have to decide whether to go back or use high flow cats if the sound is beyond what you can handle.

Would ART test pipes (resonated) help to reduce the noise at least a little?

no.
art pipes keep the exhaust note clean and rasp free but DO NOT REDUCE VOLUME. they'll be just as loud as test pipes.
high flow cats will help a tiny bit but not much.
only option to quiet it down is different exhaust or oem cats

Test pipes will always make your car louder. I recommend you get HFC's if you'd like to reduce the noise level of your exhaust but also keep it sounding good.
