Default Pulley help

I looked everywhere but no one goes into detail , how many bolts do you have to take off to get this pulley off/ replaced? I took out 4 or 5 10mm bolts but the pulley is still attached. I want to know if im missing anything. Thanks

A. Did you follow the FSM procedure?
B. Which pulley are we looking at?

Pehaps go to your local tool rental store, and pick up a gear-puller. 3 arms and a course-thread screw to ease it off.

I just want to make sure I've disconnected the pulley completely before I start prying it off. It isn't the crank or alternator, so accessory I think.

If you have removed tension and all face-bolts, that's it. It may/may not have a spline or Woodruff key, but that will not prevent a pulley removal.

Which pulley are you wrestling with, exactly?

Just 4 and it pops off, then you throw it in the trash. Next remove the 3 bolts that go to the part that its bolts to. Remove it, cut the left ear off, reinstall the ear and 3 bolts. Install shorter belt . Fin

Same shiznits that pully is a relic of the past you can delete it and get the fan belt from a later model engine...

When they designed the engine that pully was going to have a fan attached to it, but it didnt happen and they just left the pulley. It was later removed.

Now I need some alternator help please. Found this on the floor as I undid the alternator bolt, it fits perfectly on the shaft and gets the pulley to move but there isn't enough space for the pulley.

Looks like its a collar for the factory pulley to ride on. Maybe its not needed now, if your new pulley slides on snug without slop? BTW you get it about the 1st pulley you asked about, right? You just delete that one and run a shorter belt...with a spacer for the one bracket mounting ear.
