Default (SoCal) Any FI guys here used Project Imports for their tune?

I know I know this would probably be better suited in FI, local or tune sub sections.

But I wanna make sure I get as much traffic and verification responses possible.

Got my FI kit ordered and now am looking at a few shops. Ive been tossing back a couple but almost everyone but a few in my area have 5 stars and good ratings.

Im in Orange County, Ca.. Im giving a hard look at Project Imports in Orange. Mostly because of their FI G35 featured on One take and it seems they do a fair amount of Nissan work. Seems like they did a good job and know their sht. But looks and advert can be deceiving.

Does anyone have any experience with their turbo tunes? Is there a specific tuner I should try and use?

Ive also looked at Stillen but keep hearing their pricing is pretty absurd and they bank on their kits and rep from their turbo kits.

Another shop Im missing?

Plan on going in the next month or 2.. Will be Using UpRev tuner on a single turbo DE.

I've ordered some stuff from them in the past for my VQ35DE revup 350Z. But I've never used them for anything else.

I would recommend checking out SpecialtyZ if you're in So-Cal. Greg and Seb are great guys. They have plenty of tuning experience, engine builds, etc. I'm not saying Project Import isn't a safe place to go, I just know more people who had work done with SpecialtyZ and only had good things to say.

Good Luck!

Appreciate it. Yea I looked into them as well. They were also on my list for maybe's. But they are about a 2 hour drive from me.

Not that I wont travel, but if I can find a shop closer who can do the same amount of work obviously I'll opt for that. PI is only about a 15 min drive if that.

But that's the feedback im looking for either way

When the time comes, I'm honestly tempted to get a hotel and drive my Z down to Specialty Z for tuning work (I live in Silicon Valley). That's how much faith I have in them. A 2 hour drive in my mind, is time well spent for quality work.
