Gearing question for those that boost
Ok Here it goes... I have a 240z with a L28 turbo . Hoke performance is working on a cd009 transmission adapter to bolt up to the l28 engine.
He has the 350z VQ in his car with the 3.7 rear end . The gearing makes 1st too low. My understanding that the 350z has a 3.54 stock .
Currently I have a 3.7 lsd in my car. with the low geared 6 speed and turbo I think I won't have enough time to build boost so ...my choices are 3.36 or 3.54
which would you choose kind of looking for those who are running a turbo. High way driving is not something I do all that often and 6th gear would take care of that .
Thanks for any Ideas

3.54. I don't think I would want shorter gears than that, plus you'd probably have to shift into 5th for 1/4mile. I'm at 295whp. Though, I'm sure someone with more power/experience with gears will chime in.
L28 et from a 1983 280zx . Aftermarket Cam , computer , forged Pistons . I am limited by the head I don't have modern cross flow head like you guys . . Is the 3.5 rear stock for a 350z? They are plentiful I think that is what I will go with just doesn't seem much different than the 3.7 that is in there now . .

What ever the 05 M/T has... Its perfect for boost. 1st is ganna be short no matter what you use. Again cause its a move gear not a drive.
But with the dif I have no its just a bit too long for N/A for my taste, but should fit well with boost.
I'm 90% sue A/T and M/T cars have different rear gears so make sure you get the M/T version.
