Well I found out I just ran out of gas(im an idiot) but my gas gauge doesnt work and when I filled up it only went up to 9 gallons this tank should be 18-20. Anyone know any solutions to these issues? And the two metal rods definitely came off my car but idk what they do or where they go because it runs and drives fine. I also put like 2 gallons of 89 octane in to get me to the gas station and now the check engine light is on. Will this go away or need to be reset?

They appear to have fallen from a car with a cup holder. This is a 350Z forum.

FWIW, I've spent years under my car and have never seen straps like those before. Is your undershroud still in one piece? Any aftermarket panels or engine parts to report?

That part is not from your 350Z. I'm 100% sure that it was already on the road and you just happened to kick it up with your tire and you heard it clang and thought it dropped from your car. Look at the road marks. You can clearly see that it was run over multiple times.. So throw it away cuz its not from your car and try not to run outta gas anymore because thats what was happening as your sputtering down the road, YOU WERE RUNNING OUT OF GAS.

HaHa.. It's cool, Bracarty1. I'm chill. I just have an abrasive sense of humor which is often misunderstood, even more so through text. I was smiling while I was typing I swear.

Could be you need a new vapor canister purge valve. If the old part is toast, replace it with a new OEM part, stay away from the crap purge valve that Dorman puts out.
