Default Finally, I decided but it cost me

Heres my story.

I got a Dealership to give me a good deal on a Z, but I was undecided for a few days. The day I made up my mind to do it my wife had a wreck. I then backed out. This was last week and this past Saturday we went back to look at it again. On Monday I was going to pick the car up, but I talked myself out of it again. Needless to say they sold it.

Now the good part. After I cancelled and had a day to think on it the Z krept back into my head. I called the guys back and said hey I still want one what can we do. Well there was nothing around like we were buying, so I searched www.z.com and found one(250 miles away) exactly the same besides the door plates (which I hope I can order). They are getting the car for me although it will now cost me the extra 900 for their kick back since it did not come out of there inventory. Oh well thats life, but I will be a Z owner tomorrow.

So can I order the door plates seperate??

Thanks Mike

Yes, on the door plates.

You will catch some "grief" here for agreeing to the extra 900 bucks. Ignor it. If you have your Zzz & feel good about it, thats what counts. A year from now you won't remember the money but will luv your ride.

Do you mean the aluminum kick plates? Yes, you can order them from PerformanceNissan's or CourtesyParts' websites. They are typically sub-$70... Very easy install.

Enjoy! And like the Rat said, don't worry about the $900. Just enjoy owning the Z.

Edit: You can order the kickplates here: http://www.courtesyparts.com/350z/interior.html

Thanks guys. I can't blame them on the 900 anyway. I didn't take the original deal and they still went out of there way to get teh same car so I'm pleased.

Thanks for the info on the plates. I will get some ordered pretty quick.

I'll sell my plastic ones after I get the others if you want them.

Thanks Mike

Well I finally got a Z. The one mentioned above turned out to be sold. They assumed they could get it. Anyway there just happen to be one more just like it with the door jam plates a extra 40 miles futher than this one. They made a dealer trade for it and I picked it up on Friday. I did almost leave it there however because they were supposed to leave the license plate frame off of the front, and there were chips in the paint because they drove it down. I knew there wasn't another match around my area and that includes up to 500 miles plus away so I took it.

I really like the car and will get the front bumper fixed and repainted myself. I'm considering a bra for it after it is fixed. I see most go with the clear bra, but I would think it would get chipped and turn nasty itself, although I haven't researched it yet.

Anyway great car and I'm glad I made the switch.

Thanks Mike
