Made myself a tire dolly for the track tires. Got tired of walking around them in the garage.

Hi,

been reading your post regarding track events, i just started last year with my Z. Question what oil temps are you getting at the track with the oil cooler installed?

What brand of SS lines did you choose to go with? Looking at switching them out on my 08, and yours look pretty well built.

I just got back from the track today. Video up later
.... but. I noticed the temps up to 247. That was the highest point. It cooled off down to 195 during the cool down lap. The 247, was right after the long straight... full throttle, end of 3rd gear.

First time using it was yesterday and I kick myself for not doing it sooner. I grabbed the casters from tractor supply, but found some at harbor freight for a fraction of the cost...after I made it dolly already...

i came to the conclusion that the cooler doesn't stop the oil temps from reaching that 240ish mark, but it cools the hot oil off a lot faster than not having it.

I have hood vents but no oil cooler and have hit temps of 270 at the track and I am running Pennzoil platinum 10w-30. Before the hood vents my temps hit 290 the highest and I had to back off. So far hood vents brought my temps down 20 degrees. My Defi oil temp sensor is mounted in the oil pan to get the most accurate reading.

Need to get some rotors. I'm getting vibration under hard braking on the track. Street use, they seem fine.

New Video up. Still fighting the external mic on the GoPro Hero 5. Seems it may be the stereo mic i have hooked up to it. I ordered a Mono one, hope it helps.

Right now I'm thinking of changing the Z for a 5th Gen Z06. Love the little guy but on track those big guys just walk away from me.

I was thinking of just doing force induction on the Z but I'm putting money and equipment into a car that overall wouldn't be worth the money in the end. Car is R titled already. And parts just seem a bit more expensive for the Z over the Vette.

You know, just making a Viper give me the point by.... Trust me, I know the viper is a way better car than the Z. But I out drove the driver and passed a VIPER.. .

I feel this pic is a bit over saturated for my likes, but it's a free picture.
