I am not a tuner, and by no means a big fan of sticker covered ricer street machines. But, I saw an interesting article in this mag that was worth reading... it was called: "Finding the One." Essentially the magazine took 10 cars, from exotic to heavily modded imports, and rated everything to several differnet categories. The Z they tested was not stock, and I think it may have been the AXIS yellow Z with the ATI procharger that has some pics flaoting around here...

The 350Z won the overall car show (judged on overall interior/exterior appearance), emissions, braking, came in 2nd on the grandma test, 3rd in drivabilty, 3rd on fuel economy, 6th on the skidpad, 2nd on the road course test, but towards the bottom on acceleration (there were some big guns there). It still finished at the top with everything under consideration and perfermed well all around... like we didn't already know it.

Nevertheless, it was a good read, and it was nice to see our $30-40k ride beat out some high dollar Viper, and otehr heavily modded imports. In fact 2 of the improts belw engiens during the test (too bad for the skyline GTR with RB26...).

Also, towards the end of the mag, is a decent articale on the Ziel Motorsport/Jic-Magic 350z too... alot of exposure in one magazine. I wasn't too big on all the sticker advertisements, and page after page of rim dealers in the mag, but I do like to see our rides well accepted and talked about !!! Pick it up for some good spare time reading, or at least bathroom reading...

The guy who owns the MR2 lives down the street from me. I don't know how that car even got into that shoot out.

 

OK, I am not pissed, but I took offense to the fact that people thought "I was beating a dead horse." I was merely offering my opinion and trying to help out by saying that the article is good and worthy of a read, that was all. I like reading good reviews about our cars... and never before have I offered my opinion here, and gotten a bad comment like this was already posted 5 bazillion times ...

No hard feelings and no big deal... I wouldn't have responded with that comment above, but that is jsut me...
