Default bad throw out bearing/m-pact clutch

throw out bearing is rattling, noise stops when I push the clutch in, How long do they usually last once it starts making noise?Rock auto has an M-Pact 6 puck ceramic clutch kit for like $308.Is this a good system ?seems like a good price to me.Any recommendations something good that will not break the bank and last?

The Z gearbox is noisy, so don't assume it's the TOB, and why would it make noise when the pedal is out? It's not being use when the pedal isn't depressed. You might check the oil level in the gearbox, and just get used to the noise, some of which is also from the two-piece flywheel. It's a feature, not a problem.

As dcains said, this is a very normal noise to observe on 350Zs. If you leave the transmission in neutral with the clutch released, it is perfectly normal to hear some noise, nothing to be worried about. My Z did this noticeably throughout my 7 years of ownership. I recently replaced the clutch and installed a lightweight flywheel. This process entailed installing a new throw-out bearing, pilot bushing, and fresh Redline MT-85 in the transmission. I still observe a similar "whirring" noise from the transmission as I did before when in neutral, just considerably quieter. Why it's more quiet? I'm not exactly sure, it could be the removal of the Dual Mass Flywheel, fresh fluid, or new throw-out bearing, or simply a combo of all 3.

Do you know if that clutch kit fit on a single or dual mass flywheel?. I currently have a single mass flywheel from JWT and was wondering if it fits on it.
