Default TPMS sensor

I have a new to me 2009 350z roadster with 11k miles. While driving around town the TPMS seem fine. However I noticed while driving on interstate 70+ mph, I have a Tire air pressure light start blinking then goes solid. After turning the car off, the light goes back out.

Tire pressure is fine so I assume one of the sensors are bad. Anything I should try before having them replaced ?

Wonder if extended warranty cover these?

Good luck on the extended warranty. Take your Z to a tire store with a TPMS reader. They'll be able to tell you which one(s) have gone south and sell you a new unit. Once the batteries go out, there's not much to do but replace them. The shop can also re-mount and balance the tires easily.

Will they be able to tell the bad one if the light is not on? It is only coming on at highway speeds.

At this age, they're probably all near the ends of service. I'd buy a new set, and do them all at once, or you can wait until the intermittent one fails entirely. I'm into saving time, so I'd only want to take the car to the tire shop once. The tire shop will probably give you a better deal if you buy all four, too.

This happened to me a few time in my 08. Just follow the TPMS reset procedure that's on this site. Since then, I've been good for a few months with no problems. I'll more than likely just keep resetting them until they die for good, or until I get new wheels.
