What should I do with my salvaged 350Z?
I've had my salvaged 350z just sitting next to my house for years now (2003 Touring with 48k miles on it) - engine on it is good, it just was rear ended and needs a frame pull really and perhaps new rear bumper and rear passenger quarter panel .... some guy saw it and came to my door asking to buy it to use as a parts car for his 350z .... i thought "yea i'm never fixing it and have been meaning to sell it" .... he offered me $300 .... lol am i ridiculous in thinking that is a silly offer? It has a good engine and tons of good parts/body panels .... I feel like I could sell it to someone for much more and they could part it out for the engine/tranny/parts.... am i wrong in my thinking? Made me realize I need to get rid of this thing ... havent driven it in two years
Any input greatly appreciated - not sure if I am wrong in my thought process.

Kinda depends on what you bought this Z for originally. You purchased it back in 2014 with the intention of fixing it, but what happened to your motivation? Are you really ready to give it away?
Truthfully two years ago I bought a Maserati Granturismo S .... and I didnt intend on daily driving it .... but I cant seem to get myself to NOT drive it everyday. LOL... so the 350z's intended original task of DD is no longer needed.

Always wondered.... seems that unless a person has excess time on their hands, what's the point of parting out a car that was hit bad enough to earn a salvage title? Sure, maybe one can get a few extra bucks out of it (over and above insurance settlement) by parting it but at some point, don't you have to ask yourself, "What's my time worth?"
Then again, it could be just me..... I barely touch my running cars as it is and then factor in the time and effort to sell the pieces.... no thanks.
In OP's case, just sell it to the guy for a higher negotiated price, say $1000 and be done with it. Trust me, it's been sitting this long, you're never going to touch it.

Yea I think I'll just let it go. I originally intended to fix it ... then I bought the Maserati ... and then the McLaren ... between those cars and my busy schedule truthfully I no longer have any interest in it. Essentially my finances changed for the better, and my car interests sort of changed with that. Loved the car when I had one when I was younger - still appreciate them when I pass them driving - just not really for me anymore.
dboyzalter did indeed drive here today with his lovely wife and now I'm just awaiting the tow truck guy to come pick it up. Great people and I finally get some driveway space back ... glad I made this post.

So Mike, you gonna answer the call for this tow? Hahahahaha!
I wish I could have just gotten it myself but it didn't work put that way... The guy who picked it up was not very happy.
