Front air dam protection
Any recommendations on something that will protect the front air dam scraping when going over steep driveways? 2006 touring model all stock no mods. Thanks.
Exactly what dcains said. Get as close as possible to the right side of the street at 90 degrees to the driveway and turn right up. When coming out of the driveway begin the sharp turn right when the rear of your car gets to the end of the driveway. If the rear tire gets down the gutter before you turn you increase the chance of scrapping

There's no such product that I know of. You could try making something yourself. There's a user on here, kauai1800, that likes to 3D print stuff. Maybe you guys can collab and figure something out. Other than that, all you can do is be careful like stated above.

Here's a more direct answer: I've tried a variety of clear protective tape products on my aerosync (NISMO Type 2) splitter to cut down on the scraping when going over the curb on my driveway. These ranged from 3M protective tape to clear Lexan strips we use on the Z33 racecar. The results? Nothing stays on or offers much protection after day-to-day use. Lexan is tough stuff, but the constant grind has them falling off or being damaged after several weeks. Same for 3M tape, even with angling my Z over the curbs.

I had a Nismo V2 rep front bumper on my car for a while, and it was getting killed by the speedbumps in the garage at work. Finally, just took it off, sold it, and went back to stock.
