I have one laying in my basement, how would you mess up your crank? Thing seems indestructible and weighs like 40lbs

Oh yeah, I know. But I did not know a crate DE costs $10k.

With enough force you could put it in. It probably won't work, but it might fit.

OK, OP, like any family of engines, not just Nissan, there are always ways to fit a crank through machining, varied bearings, rods, journals, etc.

However, easiest way is to go "like for like".... e.g., '04 DE crank into an '04 DE block. BUT, attention to detail is high even in that situation. You need to make sure the journals are mic'd for wear and maybe machine matched between the block and "new" crank. Align boring is not out of the question, rod journals checked, etc. It's the same as ANY engine build/re-build.

What's damaged on existing crank anyways? Are we talking spun bearings (scratched/damaged journals) or cracked or....???

Probably a couple hp, right.. Are you doing anything else to it power wise in the future, or are you happy with where it's at?

497 to the pavement, eh?

My SL is putting down 498. Never mind it's pushing over 2 tons, whose counting anyways? Them power to weight ratios are overrated!

Put 'em up! Put 'em up!!

And mine were measured on the most accurate dyno out there. It's made by BUTT, Inc.

Disclaimer: I'm not serious, duh.

Nice. That'll probably get you in the 540 - 550 range right?

got a better one for ya

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...rivetrain.html

I have a ls7 motor and trans that I'm selling out of my 2015 z28. It has ported heads , aftermarket cam, Intake , arp head bolts , short shifter etc . I will give the exact list to a serious buyer . Comes complete , motor , trans , harness and computer . Made over 600 to the wheels . $13,500 for everything . Have that in mods . The mods have 500 miles on them , drivetrain has 4k miles . Btw . It does come with pcm that has been dyno tuned . Ready to go. I do have pics I can send to serious buyers . Pm me if interested . I will separate motor and trans if someone is only interested in motor .

Oh god I wish.

But that ones well out of any budget I’d have for an LS. That $4k motor leaves tons of room for all the bs little mounts and small parts needed for a swap.

I wonder why he’s sell so soon tho. Especially with all those mods.

A LS with that much work tho I’d rather just have the full vette chassis with it tho. I bet that car is a fkn beast.
