Default More Powaaa

Hey all,
I am a fresh new owner of a mint 2005 350z roadster de non rev up with 75000 km (yes here in Morocco we talk in KM) on the clock.

I love it but I find it could use a bit of modifications. I want to share with you my plans for it to get you feedback and since im still a noob see if im not destroying my car.

In the same order:
So fist I wanted to get a plenum spacer 5/16 from motor dyne
second, decat pipes
third, a tune
fourth K&N panel filter
and later down the line maybe a catback.

However, since I am in another part of the globe and can't really get any of those, I have to do with what I have. there is one local tuner (POWERCONCEPT Casablanca) that offers a canned tune for the 350z and he does a tune up aswell to fit the decat. Also, is there a website that delivers internationally for the spacer.

I don't want to get all the power in the world but just a better throttle response and get my baby to 300-310 HP with a little boost in torque. I also want to restore the lost power over the years by seafoaming it and injector cleaner in the tank since the service has been done already

Thank you !!

I did a full catback, k&n intake, and planum spacer. my opinion would be to skip the filter and go straight for the cold air intake.

300+ brake horsepower 'might' be attainable but basic bolt ons and a tune will get you in the 260 - 270whp.

You may want to open up the exhaust more than just the cats and save the tune for last.

^^^These.

Welcome!

As already stated, FULL bolt-ons and tune are good up to around 300whp, maybe. You'll definitely need exhaust to take advantage of any of the other breathing mods though. "What goes in must come out."

Honestly just save for a turbo kit or nitrous.

You ain’t ganna get anything near 300 wheel unless you do, or have an HR.

As stated above if you get a good tune and do the basic breather mods most guys get 270ish wheel. But that’s about all you’re ganna get. You’re basically paying for the sound with a standard DE.

HR are the NA monsters. Also don’t seafoam or injector clean your motor. It’s a quick fix and won’t gain you any power. If your injectors are dirty use better gasoline or replace your injectors. Do it right. Seafoam does work but it’s a gimmick and in some ways actually crates leaks where crud use to help seal areas.

If your not happy with 250hp you should find yourself a new car. Car has plenty of power for normal street cruising.

Thank you guys for your answers !! will be looking into a full exhaust system, however the tuner claims gains up to 300 BHP and 320 torque with a generic tune. Is it possible ? and also will I see a difference with only the exhaust, spacer and a tune ?

No 320 isn’t going to happen wihr little few bolt ones on a de.
Fully bolted HR I think can get that. My 283 was actually done today and actually is not the norm on these motors without cams. Had 266 prior to motordyne shockwave, art pipes, ported throttle body 5mm. And a ported OEM plenum.
These bolt ones from old yielded the Gains.

Totally possible, just need to find the right machine that will show 250hp as 320hp.

So, if I do spacer, a full exhaust revision (or just test pipes) and a tune, what will I be looking at in terms of number ? I want to specify that torque is more important to me than HP up top

I used both his upper and lower. I bought lower 1st and felt a dif. When I installed upper the gain felt quite a bit more especially the torque

Ok so just to sum up, I settled on plenum spacer and a full revision of the exhaust with 1 step colder plugs since I have to change them anyway.
However the only thing that I don't understand is that, can any generic/canned tune make the most out of the mods and adapt to the new setup ? From what I reseached, a UTEC might be a good idea aswell.
