that's what I said! But hopefully they will be worth it. I'm ordering the rs2 vented fenders tomorrow or Sunday and then the bumper. All these items have a 4 month minimum wait time so I want to order them now. And then I'm going to get ready for the Brian Crower stroker kit. I was hoping this was going to be something in a warehouse but apparently stardast is out of stock. It's all good but I'll keep y'll updated with the engine mods as well. Typically I would start with suspension mods but since the engine is getting built and this car is going to be in a paint shop and it's really not going to be driven that much, and I don't want new brakes and suspension mods just sitting idle.

Just keep in mind if you're planning to do the BC Stroker kit "the right way" for long term plans and potential boost in the future, you're probably going to be in the $15k+ range. That's not including the turbo kit.

Best of luck though! Interested to see pics of those bumpers installed.

I was planning on spending 6k on the kit, 3k at the machine shop (ported heads too) and the install myself. Add a miscellaneous 2k and I'm still at 11k. I'm just looking at getting a reliable 450 hp and if I can get that without a turbo, then I'd be happy. If it costs 15k to get ready for a turbo and 7k to build one, I don't want to go that route. There's more to come on the body today btw. Today is the fenders but I'm leaving it as a surprise on what I buy until it gets here I'm looking at 6 months before cutting because stardast is a little behind. And after this weekend I'll be buying engine parts

You can supercharger the stock engine with bolt ons and make 400+ whp as long as you have a good shop tune it. Will be a lot less money and probably just as reliable.

What do you think the estimate on something like that would be? Parts + shop hours at a real deal shop.

So I ordered the nsm bumper today. This has been a stretched spending spree but I want everything ordered. So the next big phase is going to be paint. Then suspension... And finally engine mods. I think I'm going to have to max a credit card to buy it but I've been looking at a supercharger. We will wait until the time comes until we discuss more of that lol

You can get a good used kit for $3000-ish
Full bolt on parts can be $1000-$1500ish

Put them on yourself free

Up-rev dyno tune reflash $600ish

I would say give or take $5000-$6000 should get you into the 400hp supercharger used kit bliss.

Always good to max out credit cards to pay for mods you don’t need... financially prudent... I’m all for modding but maybe slow down these things take time. It’s Your money though if you want to pay 18% interest on supercharger purchases who am I to judge. Haha

was thinking the exact same thing when I saw the post last night .Your money OP, but maxing out credit cards for car parts can be a pretty bad idea .Maybe you have guarantee money coming or some other plan we don't know of and you won't hold a balance long. Your business of course, but I'd think long and hard if you "need"to max those cards .

Not funny, really.

You are gonna have a bad time with that mindset.

Please don't put yourself in credit card debt, or further ruin your credit making a choice like that.

Save first, spend later, unless you can pay it off promptly.
