For those of you who read my "first time posting my 350z/build" I finally dyno'd and got results!
my kit is a turbonetics single kit with a refabricated downpipe, open dump 38mm tial wastegate and 5858 (I know it's small) precision turbo (got it from a friend for a good deal) from what I was told, the dyno I was on was a dyno dynamics which reads even lower than a mustang dyno so maybe these numbers seem lower than my last tune which was on a dynojet @390whp but this feels so much better. I'm maxed out on GTR Injectors and 255 pump but I've spent lots of money already so I'm keeping down low on spending anymore for now lol. I forgot what torque readings were but I'll update tomorrow when I get the chance because the sheets and numbers are on my flash drive.
4/20/18 Got my car dyno'd, last time made 381WHP 330wtq @ 9psi (after realizing the next day I could of gone higher)
6/20/18 Got my car RE-dyno'd, @ 447WHP 410wtq @ 15psi

Reason: gpt re-dyno'd @ 15psi
congrats on the progress - I wouldnt freak out about numbers between dynos.
360hp is pretty good - what boost pressure did that happen at?
You can always upgrade your injectors, pump, turbo whenever you have some extra cash and/or find a good deal. The 255lph is probably ok until you get into the 450hp range.

yes I agree with you, I've spent lots of money as is already so I'm going to stay at this power level for a while , it's actually 381whp 320tq , this was @ 9 psi
The GT-R's max their stock injectors out around 500+ hp I'm not sure why you think yours are maxed out at 390
I was wondering the same thing, maybe it's my fuel pump?
edit: just spoke to tuner , he said I had more room to play , could of maxed out at 16-17 psi.. I didn't know. I guess he did a safe tune damn...wonder what I would of been pushing now

Reason: Found answer
I think you said OP - enjoy the car how it sits now.
380whp on a ~3400lb chassis isnt bad at all.
You'll find more cash along the way and you can game-play on which direction you wanna take it. The good news is you have most the big, costly, PITA parts in place, up, and running ...
Inherently you'll want more power down the (figurative) road ... and the good news is youre only $200 to $300 in dyno time from increasing your boost and retuning those new sections of your map.
I think your fuel pump will get you into the mid to high 400hp ... does your uprev allow you to see the injector duty cycles?? It'd be interesting to see what DC theyre at.
16psi would probably put you in the high 400 low 500 - which is probably where you'd need to upgrade your pump($100) / injectors($600 - $1500) / turbo($1000-$2000) just my immediate 2cent thoughts.

yes all those PITA majors were out of the way, I may just go in for the extra psi's next month or so if my car doesn't sell (yes I'm selling it, and yes why put money in if I'm selling it lol) simple answer... No one will have money up front to buy an 03 anytime soon if I'm asking for 20k obo. So I like to drive and play with it in the meantime, pretty dumb on my end but it's a bad habit that I love. But other than that, I'll keep you posted on what I make next month.

Honestly for any daily or track driving assuming it’s not a HUGE straight course 400hp is perfect power range for power but not too much power to get lost about.
I love my 400hp for the canyons and back roads. Sometimes the 400 is still to much for some corners but it keeps it fun.
The ONLY reason I’m ever going to chase the 600hp mark is when my friends drag me out to the strip or roll races. A lot of my friends are into that and I’d like to match up and not just have to sit back and watch or get smoked. But if I wasn’t looking to do drag stuff I probably wouldn’t go any higher.
For my driving it’s just going to make me slower or just make the car wild for no real reason.
Enjoy the HP you’re at OP. Don’t get caught up with people who say anything under 700-1300 is slow. Most of them probably drive a grandma car or are 8 years old anyways haha
400-500 is MORE than fast. Especially if you add turns. You have a sick build. Great base if you DO decide to go for more
Thanks for your input, I actually go to the drag strip once a year with a few friends of mine , I agree with all of you to be running at OP knowing I have more room to play with, I'll enjoy a little more here and there until one day I get rid of it. Anyone here from Illinois??

sad to hear she's on the auction block ... but it may be better to push it to 16psi and say (hypothetically) ~522whp @ 16psi available, 381whp @ 9psi daily ... might give you more credibility for asking for $20k. You have some quality parts on the car to justify a asking price like that - its an impressive build.

Yeah - 400 is plenty all things considered...
I'm currently at 470'ish and looking to go higher but I know it simply a personal quest of building, tuning, and running the car. I pretty much short shift into 3rd knowing that the tires will spin or traction control will take over.
doesnt help that the car is 400lbs lighter than stock...
if/when I get into higher than 600hp it'll be for personal/selfish reasons...speaking of, I have a self-tune dyno appointment May 17 ... slightly scared but mostly excited.
Abe Lincoln said 'if you want to test a mans character, give him power' ... maybe he was speaking in different context, but it still applies...
the people that say <700hp is slow, are the people that A. dont have a car within a zip code of 700hp or B. cut a check for their 700+ hp rig...I dont think I'd ever call a self-built 650hp car slow - maybe that's the maturity coming through...mic would be proud...
