Default Can I get a ride in a mostly stock Z in SE MI ?

OK, maybe an odd request here, but if there is a forum member that has a mostly stock Z in my area (basically between Lansing, Ann Arbor and Novi in Michigan), I'd appreciate if I could get a ride for 5-10 minutes in order to understand what the car should feel like.

I'm new to the Z, and will be working on our 2005 Enthusiast (6spd w/ 125k miles) over the coming months to get it back on the road (it sat for a few years before we bought it, but it starts/runs OK and is stock/not-modified). I guess I'd like to experience a baseline for what to expect as far as handling, noise, etc. as I make repairs to ours. I'm particularly interested in the suspension feel/noises, in case I identify that ours needs attention.

I've worked on VWs, BMWs, Audis, Volvos and Dodge/Chryslers over my driving history, so I'm very familiar with what to expect with those, but not so much with the Z.

Just thought I'd throw the request out there, in case there's someone local who could oblige...

TIA!

You could probably go onto craigslist and ask someone on there if you can have a test drive. there are always z for sale on there.

It's a thought, but for me it would be somewhat dishonest (as I wouldn't actually be interested in buying the vehicle) - unless I was upfront that I just wanted to experience the car. Something to consider, then - thanks.

If you work on cars you should know what noise sounds right and what doesn't.

Yes, I do. But, each brand has its own "personality", too, and I've mostly dealt with European makes.
