Default Vq35hr boost ready?

Well I think the time has finally come to boosting the Z but I’m in search of people build or recommendations for an array of parts. First and foremost the boost it self. Has anyone had more success getting s custom kit made rather than one of the very few kits in the market. The kits are going for 8-10k and nothing less and I’m almost considering if it’s worth it to just do my own kit from a local shop. Albuquerque has had another Z come out over a 1000 so there’s shops that can do it. I’m also looking for opinions on fuel and cooling upgrades. What is everyone running? What do I need to upgrade over the entire system? The goal is to have a 1000hp capable build but tuned down to 600 so I can drive the **** out of it. Is anyone having issues with the axles after 500hp or the diff? Any info on your build or builds you’ve seen helps! Thanks

Well, you're on the right path. Best thing to do is what you're doing right now. Don't do any reading or researching. Do no work, just ask the questions. When you get answers, do exactly what you're told and nothing more or less. Maybe the info you get is good, maybe it's bad but that's the chance one must take when one is too freakin lazy to do the reading and researching.
Seriously, the easiest thing to do is a nitrous direct port injection. Assuming your car is stock (280hp), I'd go with a 750 shot just to clear your target goal of 1000. Easy peasy.

Well, I hate to be the one to break up this 'dreamer' thread, but the fact is the VQ35HR hasn't ever been "boost ready". Nissan designed it to be a NA application, and any FI kit will involve some serious compromises. If you want 600 "easy" HP and have $15K burning a hole in your bank account, be ready to be disappointed.

I suggest you look closely and read some of the other dreamer threads on this board and try to get a more realistic picture of what to expect.

OP, don't be like dkmura. He's over thinking it. The vq35de would love nothing more than a nice big juicy shot of n2o and certainly well below 3000 rpm.
I didn't read the initial post on this thread closely enough. You want 600 easy peasy hp? That's only 320 above stock @ the crank. No problem. Go with a 350hp shot all in @ around 2000 rpm and you'll be good.
