Default What test pipes??

I have a 06 350z with hks rep exhaust not sure if it’s the Godspeed looks the same may be it idk. Anyways I wanted to know what test pipes can I run with this exhaust. I don’t wanna put an x pipe on the car even though I know it’ll make it sound better its too much and I’ll probably end up changing the exhaust later on. I’m just looking for a decent test pipe that doesn’t have ridiculous amount of drone.

Three very popular brands:

- Berk
- Motordyne ART
- Fast Intentions

You can’t go wrong with either of these. Test pipes will make your exhaust louder and you may notice an odor while at a stoplight. Another option is hfc’s or resonated hfc’s.

I've read a couple good things from Z1 branded test pipes on these forums. They are also nowhere as expensive as say Motordyne ART pipes, however ART pipes look way better, BUT no one will ever see them besides you, and your mechanic.

I would be more concerned with the rasp that you'll experience with test pipes as opposed to drone. Pretty much all test pipes will give your exhaust a "raspy" sound. From what I've seen Motordyne ART pipes still have some rasp but it is minimal compared to other brands. You may be able to minimize the rasp if you go with resonated test pipes.

I went with Berk Resonated, but still get a code trip even with the spaced O2 Bungs. Will probably need L 90 degree spacers.

Also may be hit or miss, or pure rumor, but a few have said HRs are more temperamental with O2 sensor codes, and I have 07 HR.

I like my AAM and I believe they make resonated test pipes as well. Also can’t go wrong with Z1 they make quality parts at good prices.
