Default cruise control

has anyone figured out how to add an indicator light. I just added CC to a 2003 350z base that doesn't come with CC. I used all OEM parts. Works perfectly just no on light. I've seen a schematic of the CC and the light is obvious. How to connect my own isn't so obvious.

Hi lbw46,

The only way you can add the cluster indicator lights is to replace the entire cluster with a unit from a Z that came with CC. Others have already tried soldering on LEDs with hopes that they would work, unfortunately the LEDs did not work, which points to the cluster PCB itself being programmed from the factory to either support CC or not. Reprogramming the cluster would require specialized tools and there is no known way that I'm aware of to do this. The cheapest/easiest work around is to find a wrecker selling a used gauge cluster that came off a Z with CC. In my case I found a 2006 Roadster cluster and it worked without issue on my 2006 Base Coupe, I just had to get the Odometer re-programmed to match my Z.

Thanks. I figured that was the issue.
