Default Reset ecu problems

I recently changed my MAF sensor and it set off my ses light. Every time I try to reset my ecu it doesn't work. I've watched tons of videos and followed exactly what they do, but still doesn't work

Even with an ECU reset, if the underlying problem isn't corrected, the SES light will come back on.

ses light was on for air temp sensor. Replaced it by replacing the maf, just can't get the ecu to reset at all
