Talking West Coast PA, after market exhaust & state inspection

Hello!

Just purchased a 2003 350z, looking to buy a Invidia N1 Exhaust, and i have some concerns about state inspections regarding the loudness of the exhaust.
Can anyone share any insight in this situation?
Car right now is bone stock.

Nothing has changed it’s not a new law.

the only thing that changed is that it’s no longer s fix it ticket with court.

its just straight to fines now. $25 - $1,000 per offense. Judge decides how much each offense. If you don’t want to pay tickets don’t get it. If you want to chance it and can afford tickets go for it.

but it’s not a new law, it’s just new penalties.

Did you read what the law actually states and the restrictions it has for emmisions and your exhaust system?

A I read it, you need A muffler (not necessarily the original), and the sound level cannot exceed the level set in Chapter 157.

I've got a motordyne/stock cats in PA and nobody has ever questioned it during the inspection. Did it at the Nissan dealer where I bought it, too, so they know I changed it out. They tried to gouge me on brake pads too, so if they thought they could fail me on it, I suspect they would have tried. Wouldn't worry too much unless you're planning to go test pipes and no mufflers/obnoxiously loud exhaust
