Default Hood stuck closed...any ideas ?

Ok so it seems that my hood latch release cable has been stretched out to the point where the hood won’t pop..already jacked the front end up and tried with a pry bar to release it ..it seems that the release tab is dam near impossible to get to unless I’m missing something short of cutting the dam hood out any ideas how to get it popped??

Can I revise your statement -
my hood latch release cable has been stretched out to the point where the hood won’t pop in the current configuration.

My suggestion would be either to remove the lever from the dash or separate the cable from the lever. Then you call pull as much as you need. Assuming the cable is still attached inside the hood and the latch works properly you should be good to go.
