Yaaay this job! The likelihood is that yes, your diff bushing is worn out. They all are at this age unless replaced. I installed urethane bushings and Z1 subframe collars in June so I'll share what I know. This job is god awful. To make it less so, you need the right tools including a saws-all to cut the old bushings out of the diff/subframe. You'll also need a friend and a week to do the job. Or 2 days if you know exactly what you're doing.
The front dif bolts need a cheater bar muscle and a proper six side socket to remove.
I recommend doing the sub-frame collars while you're in there. But know that those two bolts are horrendous as well.
I had to offset my new urethane bushing slightly further aft so that the bolts would line up.
RESULT: There's no wheel hop and the now-immediate power transfer is quite satisfying. Think hard about if you're up to this. Or send it to a shop.
