Default Tires for my new wheels

I just ordered wheels that are 18x9. What tire should I be running? Are the stock sizes fine? Or do I need something else? Much appreciated. Kinda new to the car scene.

Stock 225 or 245/45s are fine but if you're in need, go up to a 245/255-40 combination. Might as well make use of the extra wheel real estate.

gunna hijack OP's thread and ask. When is the closeout period for tires? looking at some track tires and want to stock up. when do they normally try to clear inventory?

Personal preference. I run 225/275's on 8" wheels and no real complaints except I should of went 265
