Default auto motor pilot bushing HELP!!!

So the motor in my z started knocking after 128,000 miles. I got a new motor to put in from an automatic car. Going to mount the flywheel and noticed the crank looks different. Specifically there looks like a large steel bushing that is not there on the manual motor. Does that need to come out or does the pilot bushing go in there? I also read that some cranks might not require a pilot bushing. Any help would be appreciated.

slide hammer with a pilot bushing adapter will pull that sleeve out so you can install the pilot bearing.

Got it out. Just stuck a jack handle in there and pried it out. Took about 30 seconds.

For those reading in the future.. I had purchased a basic 3 jaw puller from harbor freight but ground down the "jaws" so that it could grab on. On the Z there is very litte tolerance between the back of the pilot bearing and whats behind it.

I welded a bolt to the auto pilot bushing and cranked it out. I also heated up the outside of the crankshaft to help as much as it would.

Jolly Roger - you need to put a nissan manual transmission pilot bearing back in there now.
