Audi vs Cobra : Both Losers
I'm driving along in my work truck today when I bright *** yellow mustang cobra flies by me on the left, probably doing about 100. At black Audi TT is in hot persuit, flying by me on the left. As the merging traffic from the other freeway came into view, I saw the cobra swerv to miss a merging car and eat the gaurdrail....
HARD!
He bounced back into the lane just in time for his TT competator to t-bone him. The TT flipped over the Cobra and rolled to a stop upside down with it hood resting on the median. By the time I got up their through the traffic 6 cars had stopped to render aid, so I didn't stop to find out more. One driver appeared to be out of the car. I assume he was a driver because he was bloody and people were talking to him. The others were looking inside the TT.
This just reminded me how quickly things can go wrong at high speed. I hope both the guys are alright. Freaking CRAZY

I've noticed that I get older (I'm 26 now - not quite "old" yet), I'm more and more afraid of collateral damage from people driving like idiots on public roads. I've never been one to street-race or drive very aggressively (more than 20 mph faster than other cars, aggressive lane changes, etc..) since I have been driving at racetracks for many years and get my adrenaline rush that way. But a few years ago, I wouldn't really care if people were acting like idiots around me. Now I slow down, change lanes away from them and start thinking of accident avoidance scenarios in case one of these guys bites the guardrail or something.
So far, I've never seen anything bad happen but given the frequency of occurence around here (NY/NJ area) I'm sure it's just a matter of time.
