Default Quick Question About Tires

Mods If this is in the wrong thread, by all means please move it to the correct section.

I don't actually need tires yet, but when my current set gets close I'd like to make one slight change but just encountered an issue doing a casual search on Tire Rack. Currently have F: 245/35/19 R: 285/35/19 and wanted to know if I could possibly get a 295/35/19 in the rear when it's time to purchase some new ones. My fenders were rolled years ago, so I know they'll fit already.
However, Tire Rack has 295/35/18 but only goes up to 285/35/19 for 19 inch tires. I was wondering if anyone could explain why this is or is it just the brand I'm looking at [Continental UHP/AS] doesn't make this particular size or is this the general rule for all 19 inch tires? Just curious if this was a sidewall/diameter thing or are they all like this?

I'll just say that I have a friend who is running 305/30/19 in the rears on Nismo V1 19" wheels off the 370Z on his 350Z. Fender rolled, I believe camber arm is use, and goes without saying on coilovers. No spacers.

It's possible. He only said maybe that is the most he can get out of it.

This is just the tire selection you're looking at. You'll have to look into other tire models. I think my friend had Pilot Super Sport Cup tires, something on those lines. They can get really wide up to like 335.

If TR doesn't show the size for the particular brand you're looking for, that mfgr doesn't make it in that size (in that particular line of tires). If you do a "shop by size", it will show all the tires they sell in that size of different brands.

295/35-149 is 27.13" tall versus stock height of 26.68, or 0.45" taller. It's a little tall but should work OK given your fender roll. I would consider moving the front up to 255/35 (about 1/4" taller than your 245) to lessen the height differential to keep VDC happy.
