An option would be to place the switch between BCM pin 30 (the input from the switch above the license plate) and ground. That way you wouldn't be splicing into a battery lead and risking a possible short. For reference, see the bl.pdf section of the Service Manual.
That's a cool idea. I have a similar trunk/hatch release as an OEM feature on my Passat wagon, for example, and it's convenient.
If I were to do this mod on my Z, I'd probably find another TCS Off switch and install it at this switch blank location, re-labeling it and using it for the trunk/hatch release. Idea for an accessory switch location in a stock location.

Instead of using a Z TCS OFF switch, try the Power Liftgate Switch from a Nissan Armada. The Nissan part number is 25380-7S200.
