Default Relocating / ADDING Hatch switch????

does anyone know how to add an additional rear hatch switch or tap into the existing one in order to add another switch inside in the driver area? maby one of the unused switch spaces?? (something that should have been OEM)

i was thinking maby find the wires that control it, tap into them with another switch and mount it inside???

any thoughts?
or am i just smokin crack with this idea?

Why would you want another switch, when there is a button right above the rear lisence plate? If the car is running or unlocked the button will pop the hatch. Another button inside the car would be pointless because if you wanted the hatch to be open you have to pick it up from outside the car so why not just push the button while you are standing behind the car.

Because its much less hassle and easier when I dont want to get out of the car to open it for someone else, because trying to explain to the person where the little rubber button is EXACTLY, most cant seem to find it anyway, i gotta do it myself and they always ask "why dont you just pop-the- hatch?" cause it NOT that simple...

and many times I just feel plain lazy, tired,

and most important.. Because I want to... hehe i like convienience

but unfortunatly you didnt help answer my question... in the first place

i think the remote should be able to open it even when it's in the ignition...

for somereason the hatch open button doesn't work when the key is in the car... i definaetly agree with the whole trying to explain thing...

well, my trunk is no longer functional so it doesn't really matter now lol

There is a mechanical pull tab already under the rear strut - in case someone locks in you in the trunk - really. The tab is velcro'ed up so it doesn't hang down.

If you're locked in the trunk you're a really small person!

Or possibly a normal sized person cut into little pieces.
