As of right now I have no trouble opening my trunk. Are you holding down the button or just pressing it?

I had an incident the other day where I hit the trunk button on the remote, the deck popped up as it should, but it wasn't truly released. I had to hit the remote a second time in order for the trunk to be openable/unlatched. Is this the type of prblem you are refering to? Its only happened to me once.

It happens to me all of the time. I'm going to try cleaning and lubricating the shocks that hold up the hatch. The only other idea I've had is to make some kind of assist spring and mount it near the latch. It might give the latch that extra push when the button is pushed. It is very frustrating...

Make sure you hold the button down for a second. Don't just press it and release.

This has happened to me from Day 1, so it shouldn't be a lubrication issue. Sometimes the hatch releases all of the way and sometimes it doesn't. Almost always works on the second time though.

It's always been that way with me, also. Never bothered me too much because it almost always works fine on the second try.

Mine works fine. I keep the paint under the rubber seals polished so the rubber won't stick. It will in time if you forget to clean it.

Yeah, its the same thing BriA5 is talking about..

it's not that big of a deal i guess, i just dont like worrying about it when i have stuff to put back there and i have to push the button like 4 times for it to pop..

what part are you polishing to get it to pop easier?
