Who knows about paint? I have a question
I had a detailing shop do paint correction on my car. Car looks great.
EXCEPT they burned a small part of the paint on the quarter panel.....
They are paying to fix it. The shop that is going to do the repaint says I can't wax the car for 90 days. This car is going to be sitting on the streets of Chicago for the next 90 days.
I feel like I would rather wait until November when I store the car for the winter and let the paint cure then. I feel it's going to be hard keeping that fresh paint perfect for the next 90 days considering all the traffic, construction, and the fact it is parked under trees.
In turn, I don't want to have to fight them later to get them to foot the bill later or something like that. They are a reputable business but still
What would you do?

The advice is accurate- no traditional wax or sealers until the paint cures. If I found myself in your spot I'd get the panel done quickly so they don't forget, get another detailer and wash the car as needed with cool water early morning/late afternoon. Water drops in direct sun are like a magnifying glass. GL!
