Sorry I’ve been MIA life has gotten really busy with this whole c-virus thing going on and me being an essential worker. I was slowly fixing up my 350z I got new tires after I had a blow out then I needed a new clutch. But I was fine with all of that I wanted a car I could fix up and make into a custom car for me. Sunday afternoon I was driving on the Hwy doing 70mph which was the speed limit next thing I hear a sound almost like a snap and before I can react the wheels locked up and I was crashing into a cement ramp wall. The car is completely totaled. The air bag deployed, the frame is smashed on the passenger side, like there’s too much damage to even name, the front axel is completely broke. I’m sure that’s what caused the accident either the tie rod or pitman arm broke and that caused the wheel to turn and lock up. But that’s it for her she decided she was ready to go to that great race track in the sky. I’m not going to let this affect my views of the Z I’m actually looking into getting a manual 370z we’ll see how that goes otherwise I’ll be getting an American muscle car. I’ll add pics of the car be warned it isn’t pretty.

 

Very sorry to hear about the loss of your Z. Looks like all the passive safety systems functioned as designed, and your Z gave up its life to save yours.

 

yes the safety features most certainly did help I don’t know many cars that car go into a cement wall at that speed and all the driver has to show is a cut from the seatbelt

Looks like Seppuku. The Z sensed the wall, light traffic I'm sure, and saw an opportunity to put an end to the hard life and the shame of those headlights.
