Also try to check out WHY the link broke away like that. It's pretty odd that it snapped in that manner even with 105k miles. Mine lasted 115k with no problems. Only reason I changed everything was because I had to change the gallery gasket (HR issues GAHH)

She lives!!!!!!! The timing gear came in this morning and it took all afternoon to put her back together again. Compression was good on all cylinders and she fired back up with no hesitation. It’s so nice to have a running car again, and in the process I’ve given her quite possibly the most comprehensive service with all the new parts lol

Hallelujah!🙌
I'd like to offer you a crisp high five 🙏
Now you have that piece of mind that everything in there is brand new. But if you're anything like me, you'll now be constantly sketch out asking "what's next?"
btw did you replace the crank seal too?

Yup, new front main seal and I also replaced the two small orings that run oil to the VVT intake cams

Dude my car is doing the same exact thing. Tach dropped to zero while cruising 40mph, no spark now. I’ve checked everything. Basically down to this now. Same exact symptoms.

Well I replaced all the timing **** and still crank no start. Definitely had a warn tensioner and a lot of leaks so good maintenance anyways. Replaced ecu and bcm from another car and it starts and runs seemingly on 2 cylinders (the ones on the coil pack sub harness). The other 4 coils have no spark. Now I’m wondering how I could have killed the ecu and 4 coils all at once... assuming the 4 coils are dead. Haven’t had a chance to actually test them yet, and I no longer have that ecu and bcm set that will run the car.

let me know what y’all think lol
