Well guys I got myself in a sticky situation. I recently purchased myself a 2006 350z 6mt with rod knock for cheap with the intention to flip. My blown engine is a revup
I ordered an engine on eBay out of another 06 and I guess I didn’t pay close enough attention. They asked for my vin, told me it matched what they were looking for, and when it showed up it’s a non revup.. shoulda asked for pics of the timing cover I guess.
so I can pay a bunch of money for return shipping and cut into my profit. Or.. a buddy of mine is offering me 06 revup heads for free... he believes they can go right on my nonrevup to make the motor work in my revup car.. if I swap these heads on I’m thinking I don’t even need new wiring harness or ECU.. theoretically should this work? Just pay a few bucks for gaskets and be done?

 

You would need to swap cams, both timing covers and either machine out the back of your heads or swap heads. It can be done
