I have the Arc standard, would I be able to add pops and bangs myself if I purchased the Arc license? I see many shops have that as a requirement if they were to tune to the car for pops and bangs. Places like Soho and admintuning all require a tune with them which is about $300 and arc license which is another $100. So basically I was wondering if I could do it myself if I got have license, or would I need to have the tuner license as well.
You need the cable and I believe Osiris to get that, that being said it is a stupid thing to do that only wastes fuel and damages your exhaust over time for no other purpose than extra points with the kids on YT & IG.
When Moncef told me I would need ARC to get a tune with him I told him "Sure, I will pay the $100 for the license but have NO interest in its features" I just want a tune, imagine burning more fuel and not getting more power out of it
Pretty sure Nic Soho hasn't developed maps for "pops and bangs". If I asked Jon @ Z1 for that he'd tell me to GTFO.
Gonna have to disagree there. Tuners like making money, and Jon is no different. I have seen the results of his Flame mapping. Customer wants it.. customer gets it. Probably with an added disclaimer that its bad for your car.

Tuning your car and modifying the ECU to make it less efficient. Makes total sense.

I already have a tune for my car.... Never heard of switching maps? Something for fun on the side is hardly "less efficient", especially when I'm just hanging out in a parking lot or such.
Was that ever a doubt? It's kids in their 20s that care about stupid stuff like that, just cause it's "fun". I guess when you have a $200 exhaust you don't care as much, I dont want ANY extra wear on my $4000+ exhaust set up lol.
