AMS is about to come out with their own ART pipes that can be had in titanium and look gorgeous.

i just like the brand and I don’t know of a better exhaust. I don’t want a single exhaust setup so that eliminates a bunch.

The lights were more of an experiment. I’ll just go back to a stockish look and just put these on for the summer or car shows or something

i’ll look into them. The art pipes i am waiting on will be compatible w cats which is what I need. I want to keep the car street legal. I just passed inspection this week so happy about that.

I mean they are ok, but I think that exhaust isn't worth it's price, it's American made which is good but Japan craftsmanship is way better IMO. It sounds nice but so does mine, also the Tomei dual although loud also looks gorgeous and is lighter to boot. If you have an IG I posted up some sound clips over there.

So finally got the wheels on. I’ll get better pics but for now this is how she sits. This is as low as I can go before scraping on my driveway so she’ll stay this way. The tires are a bit meatier than I’m used to but they look good. My brakes kinda look puny now. i was able to remove my 10mil spacers too which I’m happy about. I’ll have to get used to the black wheels. Also had to roll the rears.

Up next I have some additional titanium hardware for under the hood and I may go ahead and order an authentic charge speed rear w carbon fiber insert. I also want to take the wheels off to coat them and paint the center hubs as they have a little rust and these wheels don’t have center caps so it looks questionable to me, lol. Oh, and I’ll be removing my spare since it doesn’t clear my brakes. Gotta get one that does.

Anyway, here is my setup:
Volk Racing TE37SL in Pressed Double Black 19x9.5 and 19x10.5 +22
BF Goodrich G-Force Comp TA plus 255/35 in front and 285/35 in rear
Z1 upper control arms
Z1 rear camber arms
SPC toe bolt kit
KWv3 coil overs
Project Kix R40 Iconix Lugs in black
Alignment

Looking great, not too meaty, just enough IMO.
Front looks about as low as mine with the S-tune, rear is lower but I'd rather keep the rake anyway. Excellent choice for the rear bumper!

When I swapped over to the Akebono BBK, I got a spare from a Z34 that had the same brake setup since the little stock donut didn't clear the brakes. It's the 18 inch that came off the sport model and looks like this:

If you end up going that route, hit me up. You'll need to use the shank style lug nuts found on the 370 in order to use the spare. I had to get a set of 20 of them and I only needed 5, so I can mail 5 of them to you to that you can keep with the 370 spare.

thanks heel, I really appreciate that. I will def hit you up when I get my spare. Btw, did you ever test the z34 spare over your brembos to confirm it fit?

Ah, good call. I have not yet, but with temps in the 30s now, it's about time to take off the summer tires and throw the all-seasons back on. I'll do that in the next little bit and report back. My thought is that everything should clear fine, but you never know...

Well, its been a while. Over the winter i did....absolutely nothing to the car. I was both lazy and too busy w work. Plus it was a cold winter. The car is out of storage now but with a dead battery that desulfated and I tried to repair it but its not working. I have an Optima Red Top that is only 2 years old so I called Optima and they said just go back to the place where you bought it and get it replaced via warranty. So I did that and easy peasy, new battery, no questions asked. I'll be throwing the battery in this week.

Other than that, my Chargespeed Rear bumper with CF Diffuser arrived some months ago. I will make some time to drop the car off this month for paint and install. Was debating if I should put Titainum hardware on the diffuser like I did under my hood but haven't had time to go measure the size of the bolts so haven't ordered them yet as they are pricey. Maybe I'll hit the home depot tonight and take bolts and measure to see if its M5 or M6 so I can get them ordered. Or maybe I'll just leave the black bolts and let them blend in.

I also got word this week that after a nearly 9 month wait the TDXv2 exhaust I've been waiting on is now available to me. So i'll be ordering that tonight and then putting up my Turbo XS catback for sale. I love my exhaust and it sounds great but it doesn't go well with my chargespeed rear so i'll be replacing it w the Motordyne TDX2.

Lastly, this is blasphemy but there is a very good chance I'm gonna super charge the car . No guarantee yet as I'm weighing reliability vs cool/speed/sound factor. If I do it I'm heavily considering the Vortech V3 tuner kit as I believe I'll still remain emissions friendly and thus won't have any DMV problems. Just waiting for my estimate to come in from my tuner. Likely getting the SC, an oil cooler, new radiator, required gauges and tune. Will address the clutch in the fall. Water has been getting into my basement for almost 2 months now and has also caused my wallet to spring a leak with all the repairs so can't play with the car as much as I want to. I just had the basement finished 2 years ago and didn't do a french drain cause i never had a problem. Now, i have a problem and I'm not willing to rip the basement apart so trying to address the water problem from the outside which involves digging up to the foundation and finding the problem and it isn't cheap . But that is life and you take the good w the bad and make the best of it.

Anyway, I should be more active on the forum now that spring and summer are here.

I dropped my car off for paint and install of the new Chargespeed rear on Saturday. Will be picking it up next Saturday so very excited about that. My TDXv2 also arrived yesterday so I'm super stoked about that. I got it w the rolled titanium tips so it should look good. If anything, by the summer time I should have an all new rear end (on the car). Still debating on the super charger - price came in higher than expected. It won't deter me, I just may do it in stages meaning I'll start w SC, oil cooler, gauges, tune, and then in a few months do radiator upgrades and then later on the clutch and flywheel. Still debating it while I try to get my basement fixed .

Anyway, a few pics to pass the time. Let me know what you think about my Rays Pillows.

The Chargespeed rear is going to look really nice with the rest of your Z. I absolutely love my TDX2. I got the slant cut burned tips for mine. I also picked up their high flow resonator delete I have yet to install, but hopefully soon.

I also realized I never test fit the 370Z spare on my G with the Brembo's! I knew there was some thread where I promised to do that and totally forgot. I am fairly certain it will fit, but I'll confirm and report back.

Love those pillows.

thanks Heel. Due to shortages and stuff like that, I didn’t get an option on my tips so I’m hoping I like the ones I had to get. If not I know I can buy different ones.

Lol on the spare tire comment. It was part of this thread and I was waiting for your confirmation before I went out and located a 370 spare.

Looking good!!!
fwiw I love my V3, Z1 tuned to about 470 on the large pulley. Custom made Fast Intentions TD exhaust.
I actually called them about HiFlow cats since the test pipes drone at 1800 rpm. They (and everybody else)
says Hi Flows won't hold up under FI. Luckily there's a friendly emissions shop so I can get my tag. If you get a Vortech you won't recognize your car.
Good luck and enjoy your Z!

Default Chargespeed Rear is on

Got the Chargespeed Rear bumper painted and Carbon Fiber diffuser installed. I am super happy w fitment and quality. Body shop reported no work needed to make it fit properly and I feel like the paint match is pretty good. Next up is the Motordyne TDX2 exhaust. Also getting a compression test performed next week in the event I do go w a super charger.

Love the vents and the diffuser
